In a time of growing threats to human rights and democratic values, Kenneth Roth, former head of Human Rights Watch, has spent three decades taking on autocrats, exposing atrocities, and fighting for justice. From uncovering the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide to holding war criminals accountable in Ukraine, Roth has led efforts to protect vulnerable communities and challenge abuses of power worldwide.


Roth will share stories from his extraordinary career—his victories, setbacks, and the ongoing fight for human rights. In conversation with The Conduit’s co-founder Paul van Zyl, they’ll discuss how we can safeguard human rights, support marginalized communities, and build systems of accountability in an increasingly turbulent world.
