As fragile ceasefire negotiations continue and the world confronts the scale of Gaza’s devastation, Jean-Pierre Filiu, one of the foremost historians of the region and one of the few international observers to have entered Gaza during the height of Israel’s 2024 offensive, joins award-winning journalist Ramita Navai for an unmissable and urgent discussion on what comes next.
While most journalists were barred from entering, Filiu witnessed first-hand the devastation, the collapse of entire infrastructure, and the extraordinary resilience of those struggling to survive amid the ruins.
Together, Navai and Filiu will discuss the realities on the ground, the urgent need for humanitarian aid, and what future, political, social, and moral, might remain for Gaza and for the prospect of a Palestinian state.
